ANXIETY, DEPRESSION & SUICIDE

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

As a church, we are dedicated to growing in the likeness of Jesus in all aspects of our lives.

This commitment extends beyond just our spiritual well-being to encompass our emotional and mental health as well.

Discussions around mental health can often feel overwhelming or unclear, but one truth remains constant: God designed our minds, and there is nothing we experience that falls beyond His reach or compassion.

We trust that the following resources will support you in understanding your mental health and guide you toward living a life that reflects Jesus’ love and grace.

Get in Touch

If you feel like you are struggling or would like someone to talk to, our pastoral staff would love to sit down with you.

While we are not licensed counselors, we would be happy to listen, process with you, and provide biblical advice on whatever you are walking through.

We are also able to refer you to several trusted counselors and resources that will help you continue the journey to healing.

If you would like to set up a meeting with our staff, get in touch with us.

EMERGENCY HEALTH PROVIDERS

Mobile Response Team:

The MRT provides round the clock intervention and support to people who are managing a behavioral or mental health crisis. The team partners with local law enforcement, schools, emergency rooms and provides to support people in need during traumatic events. The team is at-the-ready to provide a response within 60 minutes via telephone triage or face-to-face crisis response. Basic demographic and history information is needed to dispatch a team. MRT also provides after-care to ensure a smooth transition to the appropriate support services.

The three goals of this team are:
1. Reduce trauma
2. Prevent unnecessary hospitalizations
3. Divert individuals from emergency departments or the juvenile justice/criminal system.

Support is provided to youth, adults, and families who are showing signs of mental health issues that pose a threat to stability within the home, school or community, including but not limited to: anger, self-injury, school problems, suicidal or homicidal thoughts or behavior, extreme parent/child conflict, seeing or hearing things, and depression or anxiety.

In a crisis situation, it’s important for our partners to know who to call. There are two options:

1. Call the MRT when: a person is experiencing a behavioral health crisis and willing to seek assistance; a person is expressing suicidal thoughts; a person is experiencing severe stress that results in a significant decline in functioning. The number to call is 866-517-7766.

2. Call 911 when: a person has attempted or is in immediate risk of attempting/completing suicide; a person is at immediate risk for aggression, violence or has committed a crime; a person is in need of medical attention.

The Lakeview Center Mobile Response Team (MRT) is just one more way we are helping people throughout life’s journey. To learn more about the service, call Autumn Shearman, director of emergency services, at 850-281-3514.
